What a wonderful week …! I am not a ‘down time’ sort of girl but after putting up a little resistance on day one, became completely absorbed in the food, the place and the people. In addition, Jake was down to earth and very knowledgeable. His calm demeanour and ability to improvise on the spot is an example for me, especially when I’m preparing for a large dinner party. Amanda’s well-choreographed moves through the kitchen, anticipating every need and eventuality was beautiful to watch.
